What is the difference between AromaCones and FireCones?
FireCones are made to start fires quickly and easily.  They are lightly scented (1-1-1/2%) and not hand dipped, so while they are beautiful, they have imperfections inherent in the manufacturing process.  AromaCones are each hand dipped by skilled artisans.  AromaCones are generously infused (6%) with exclusive aromas containing mostly pure essential oils.

Are AromaCones candles?
No, absolutely not.  Never attempt to light one.

Can you use AromaCones as fire starters?
NO!  Please never burn the AromaCones.  Because of the types of cones used, an enormous flame could be produced.  AromaCones keep looking great after the aroma fades and may still be used for decoration.

What fragrances are AromaCones available in?
AromaCones’ aromas are wonderfully complex and universally appealing.  The manufacturer’s perfumer has created AromaCone’s signature essential oil from natural plant and flower essences.  AromaCones don’t just smell good, they have natural aromatic properties for a real aromatherapy experience.  The art of aromatherapy has been around for thousands of years throughout the world.  Egyptians, Mayans, Tibetans and Native Americans all used herbs and flowers to heal, calm and lift the spirits.  Indigenous peoples knew the power of calming lavender, comforting chamomile and invigorating verbena and citrus.  Each of the aromas is created to be pleasantly fragrant and beneficial, too.  Three different aromas are used:

• Verbena Mint – This sparkling and invigorating scent will fill your surroundings with fresh citrus notes of natural lemon grass, mandarin and sweet orange wrapped around a heart of natural eucalyptus and wild mint leaves.  A perfect sensory complement to any area of your home.
  
• Clove & Balsam – Vibrant and alive.  Warm and inviting.  Celebrate with this intoxicating creation of spicy cinnamon blossoms, laurel leaves and blood orange.  Perfectly positioned on layers of natural fir needles, amber and moss to create laughter and good tiding in any home.
  
• Cedar and Sage – Bring the outdoors in with a comforting and sultry woodland scent.  Rich, deep oils of labdanum and benzoin surround this aromatic blend while warm woods of natural cedar wood, fir needle and balsam add comfort and peace.  Middle notes of clove bud and cinnamon add fullness and grace to the scent.

How long does the fragrance last?  How can I refresh the fragrance?
The fragrance should last at least a year.  You can refresh the fragrance using a “warm” hair dryer or place them in a sunny window to allow the wax to warm up.  You can also clean dust off the cones and refresh the fragrance by rinsing them under lukewarm water.  As with any product made with wax, you’ll want to protect them from extreme heat or cold.

What types of pinecones are AromaCones?
AromaCones consist of 4 varieties of pinecones – the large Sugar Pine, the Jeffrey Pine, the Ponderosa and the small White Pine.  Most of the pinecones come from the Pacific Northwest and are sustainably harvested.  Our manufacturer picks the cones only after they have dropped their seeds, ensuring the continuous health of our forests.

Are AromaCones a seasonal product?
With the variety of home décor colors that are offered, people use AromaCones to decorate their homes year round.

Can I pick the fragrance?
After much research, the manufacturer has carefully chosen fragrances that perfectly compliment each other.  The light colors have been matched with the lighter, higher not fragrances and the darker colors feature the deeper aromas.  The traditional holiday colors are offered in the clove and pine fragrances.

1. Place two logs parallel on fireplace grate leaving a space between the logs.
2. Place one FireCone™ between logs and carefully light with fireplace match or fireplace lighter.
3. Place two more logs cross-ways on top of bottom logs. You'll be amazed at how easy it is! Sit back and enjoy!
